The most common repair call that can be avoided.

It is your first camping trip of the season and you either have no hot water or the water is lukewarm.

Solution to check before calling for repair

Almost all campers have a bypass system that seperates antifreez from your hot water tank. If you have the above problem always check these valves before calling a repair service. Many campers have three valves. Make sure the top and bottom valves are on . These allow water into and out of the tank. The center valve should be off, this valve allows antifreeze to bypass the tank and if left on will result in lukewarm water.

Another potential source of lukewarm water may be mixing at the outside shower. Check to be sure that both the faucet and the push valve are in the correct position.

Some off season  storage tips

Place plywood or a 2X8 under the tires to prevent contact with the ground

Inspect your whole unit for potential leaks and reseal if necessary

Be sure the battery is fully charged and either remove it from the unit or disconnect the ground

Inspect the underside and plug any holes that will allow in mice or insects

Most units can be winterized with one gallon of antifreeze, If a winterization hose is not present

detach the water pipe from the inlet side of the pipe and attach a short flexible pipe that can be inserted into the antifreeze bottle.

Be sure your bypass has been closed to prevent antifreeze from entering the water heater

be sure to remove the plug and drain your water heater

If you have filters be sure they are drained and the filter element removed

The city fill has a one way valve on the back , after antifreeze is in the system and pressure has been relieved remove the small screen on the inlet and push in on the one way valve to be sure red antifreeze comes out. Water can be trapped here if this is not done.
